Southlake Foundation Student Leadership Program (SFSLP) is a program initiated by Southlake Foundation, and is led by student volunteers in middle and high school. Combined with our student and parent volunteers and officers, SFSLP is extremely accomplished in its endeavors. With its multitude of cultural events DiwaliFest, educational events, and community service opportunities made for anyone willing to get service hours and give back to our community, SFSLP prioritizes high-quality volunteers who work diligently and make Southlake proud of its youth.
However, it's not only students who make up SFSLP, it's also our parent volunteers. While our student leaders work hard, behind the scenes, our parents are hard at work to keep everything together so our volunteers can shine bright. Without our parent volunteers, this program wouldn't be as big as it is today, with at least 400 volunteers at our disposal, who know what it truly takes and means to be a student leader.
Being a student leader means being ready to take charge when things go wrong and not sitting idly by. SFSLP prepares student leaders to go out into the world and not be afraid of pursuing opportunities or stepping up when necessary. We give our student leaders the extra push they need to be ahead of the curve so that they can be more than prepared to be the best version of themselves that they can be.
