35 Carroll Senior High Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has announced its list of semifinalists for the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship Program, and Carroll Senior High School is proud to have 35 of its seniors recognized in this prestigious honor. Selected from more than 16,000 semifinalists across the nation, these students are now one step closer to earning the coveted National Merit Scholar title.
The Carroll Senior High students named semifinalists are: Vivek Athipatla, Ayan Bakshi, Kaylynn Bartlett, Paul Kendrick Bray, Jr., Luke Brown, Matthew Cai, Arya Catna, Jack Couch, Ashley Cusick, Sydney Denk, Ethan Fu, Ishani Gandi, Katah Gunter, Mayli Heistein, Audrey Hendrickson, Riley Higginbotham, Ethan Hince, Owen Hindman-Anderson, Aanaputt Patrick Jitrskul, Megha Kadiyala, Pragnya Kaginele, Risha Kanukolanu, Dhruv Kilaru, Ella Le, Sean Le, Shriya Makam, Anson Omar, Sagar Patel, Sanjana Senthil, Tejas Senthil, Riddhima Shanker, Anshika Solleti, Arjan Suri, Sarayu Veluri, and Alexander Zhou.
These academically talented students are now eligible to compete for National Merit Finalist status and will have the opportunity to earn one of the 7,140 National Merit Scholarships, collectively valued at nearly $28 million. Winners of the 2025 National Merit Scholarships will be announced between April and July of next year.
This recognition marks an important milestone in the academic journey of these Carroll students, placing them among the nation’s brightest scholars. The Southlake community is proud to celebrate their achievements, and we look forward to seeing these young leaders continue to shine in the months ahead.
